Are Quakers Christian?

Our tradition is embedded in the broad Christian Faith and can be traced back to the early Christians of the New Testament and Seekers and early Friends of the 17th century. George Fox re-organised it and it is continually renewed. The Christian tradition is flexible and open ended: within the Christian context widely different practices and behaviour are found.

Quakers are rooted in the Judeo-Christian tradition and, in practice, follow many biblical teachings closely.
